Moneris Microoffers Mobile App

CHALLENGE  Moneris wanted to deliver a Groupon style service for small business offerings through a native mobile app to support the online service for RBC branded microofers.com. A mobile app that small business owners can download and create their discounted offerings through their phones instantly, conveniently and fast. The offerings could also be created online as well with an online version app for customers who choose to use desktops.

IDEA  The small business owners use the mobile app to conveniently and practically post their offerings to the web for their clients and customers instantly whenever and wherever they want to.  Customers will be able to search the list of offerings online and on mobile, and reach coupons to purchase and download to their "wallets" on their mobile phones and take them to the small businesses to receive their services. The business owners will use the same app on their phones that they posted their offerings through to scan these coupons to complete the offerings after their service to the users/clients conveniently and so they track their sales and number of offerings/coupons completed easily as well.

RESULT  At the test run of this commercial service, a few thousand users were built right away coming from RBC gift and loyalty service solely. The service is at its beta stage and got cancelled end of 2016 until a further decision by Moneris' Business Development Team.
